Poker Aces - how to play them
Poker Aces refers to two aces dealt pre-flop. It's the best possible before theflop hand inhold'em Poker. But regardless a good many gamblers end up on the wrong end when dealt these cards. When you're dealt a set of Aces, you just don't drop out pre-flop. You're sitting with the greatest achievable hand at this stage of the game. So how do you bet with Poker Aces ? Do you actually go all-in? I would say absolutely no to that.
Always remember, you're trying to acquire as much money out of this strong position. You will want to maximize the opportunity. Going all-in will merely scare most competitors into dropping out before putting a bet.
If you are in the initial position (first or 2nd to place a bet), you will place a single wager. Any person with good cards will call, with luck someone might raise. If there has been a raise don't jump to re-raise or call, pause for a short while - make them think you're considering your options and then call.
Following the flop your strategy will be to eliminate any player that could be able to get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise boldly, if you are fortunate you'll trick one player into thinking that you are bluffing.
If you're in the middle or late spot (near the last to place a wager) you'll watch as everybody calls and then raise. Even though you are holding a pair of aces, if you can try to avert a show-down. Protect your hand by forcing the other players drop out after the flop. If you don't drive out your adversaries you risk squandering your hand.
